"Tawana's" music is honest, heartfelt expressions of life happening along the journey....  "Tawana" writes and performs songs that have a unique way of sharing with others the struggles, victories, celebrations, praises, and just a "normal" day in various chapters of her life.  Like a good book, with God's hand-turning the pages, she invites her audience to take a look at life through her eyes.

Attending one of "Tawana's" concerts, is more of an experience rather than just another show.  Her lyrics go straight to the heart. She then, allows God to take over from there.  Whether it's a secular or a christian venue, "Tawana" shares her faith woven within the context of her songs. And she does this in a Christ -like, loving manner. This is well received by her audience which often leads to common ground and ministry.  

Through the pages of her journey, God has blessed "Tawana" for her desire to honor him through her life and music ministry.  "Tawana" has made T.V. appearances on "Inspire The Desire" and "Dr. Delagraentiss Presents". "Tawana's" new song, "Dancin' On The Clouds" was # 11 on Indieheaven.com Fan Fave Charts in July 2007.  Also, her song, "Just Sing" was #9 on 88.1 FM's Top 10 at 10 (KBCU, Newton, KS) in September 2007.  Last December, "Keep Christ In Christmas" was on 88.1 fm's rotation, not long after "Tawana" released it to the public. It was chosen as the #1 Christmas song of 2007 in their Top 10 @ 10 on 12/22/07. "Keep Christ In Christmas" was also added to several U.S. radio stations which included: Maine, Texas, California; Michigan, Massachusetts, and Kentucky.  "Tawana" will be receiving more airplay in the near future. As she will be promoting her Christmas song for 2008 and "Dancin' On The Clouds" to radio stations across the U.S. as well as Canada, Australia, & Europe through a Texas based radio promoter. 

As far as accolades, "Tawana" was nominated for the Momentum Awards (Indep. Christian Artist Award) in 2006 & 2007 in 3 cateogries: Song Of The Year-"Living Water", Contemporary Artist of The Year, and Female Artist of The Year. "Tawana" considers it an honor for others to consider her for these opportunities of recognition. But she's quick to say that "It's All About Jesus" and making him the "Star".

"Tawana" released her first CD project, "Just Sing!" in November 2007. "Tawana" is very excited to share her new CD project with everyone as she feels that God inspired her with the songs that are on this project. Her hope is that people will be encouraged & challenged in their Christian walk.  "Tawana's" desire is to honor God with her talents and life as she continues through the pages of this journey that he's chosen for her.
