Biography Chris was originally born in the UK and first came out to New Zealand in 2004 with his family . After spending a year in Tauranga, he went back to the UK only to return again in 2005. On the return visit Chris settled down in the city of Palmerston North, which is in the lower half of the North island, and within the Manawatu district. Palmerston North is an awesome place to work and live, and is a great inspiration for some of his more recent tracks. Chris is married to kate with 3 awesome children and works as a commuity nurse helping to deliver health care to the local population. His work passions are around the treatment and recovery for depression and many of his songs are directly influenced by his work experiences and the struggles that we all face from time to time in life. Music has always been a part of Chris's life, learning to play the guitar at an early age in primary school, which led onto the usual messing around with like minded friends as a teenager and then going on to form a number of fun bands and local gigs. There hasn't been a time when Chris has not had a tape recorder around to catch a new tune or melody. This has progressed over the years to building up a home computer studio, where he has continued to refine his recording techniques and catch the tunes and melodies his mind turns out from time to time. Chris has had a number of moments in his songwriting times, being in local papers , local and national radio, a number of tracks being featured on prominent websites and used for backing tracks. Chris spent over a year on the auditioning panel of a christian bands website, and was involved from its early days, being encouraged and encouraging others to move forward in indie Christian Music. More recently he won first place in the Pacific songwriting competition (instrumental Genre) which was a nice boost to his musical endeavours and achievments. He was offered a contract in the UK after his Father's hand Album, however Chris has prefered to remain independent and has mostly given his music away through his websites. Chris continues to develop his own style of guitar driven Christian pop/ rock, whilst also branching out into the genres of acoustic and guitar instrumental. Over the last 4 years Chris has had his head down writing many tracks and continuing to develop his studio techniques. Producing indie cds such as Blue Water, Inclined, Healing Heart, and more recently Blessed be. As a born again Christian, Chris wants to bring a positive and uplifting message filled with HOPE. Over the last few years Chris started this website www.mycrossfactor.com which has a simple goal of creating an online community that helps to promote and encourage christian music. Grace & Peace to you all. The MCF Journey continues............. |

Chris,
Had a moment to listen to a few songs. Nice Strat sound. I'm hearing hints of Gary Moore, and Hendrix. Keep up the good work.
Peace,
Rick
